Can Kombucha Tea Improve Your Health?

The only way to know for sure if kombucha tea can improve your health, is to try it. A friend of mine had a problem with digestion and he tried many supplements to help it including an herbal formula that has herbs from the Amazon rainforest. Nothing had helped. Then he tried kombucha tea and it totally cured the problem. He did not know if any of the other things that he tried or if the kombucha would work. So he tried them Kefir Grains.

This tea is usually made with green tea or black tea so it has all the benefits of the tea. Also I have heard of people making it with yerba mate tea. People can buy it in stores or make their own. If you make your own, you use a SCOBY that looks a pancake. SCOBY stands for symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast. Sugar is added and the yeast consumes the sugar and produces alcohol. The bacteria consumes the alcohol and produces many beneficial substances including different acids.

Malic acid helps body’s detoxification process. Lactic acid helps digestion. Acetic acid controls the growth of harmful bacteria. It is what gives vinegar its strong taste. Gluconic acid fights the growth of yeasts like candida. Candida exists naturally in the colon but can grow faster than it should (candida overgrowth) creating many strange symptoms. It can seriously affect the brain.

I know a woman that had candida growth and at first she did not know it. She was married and had 2 children. Here is what she did know. Sometimes she would get really angry with her kids for no reason at all and yell at them. Then she would cry because she yelled at her kids for no reason. Kombucha also contains butyric acid that helps the gluconic acid to fight harmful yeasts like candida.

Kombucha has lots of glucosamines that help to prevent joint degeneration and preserve cartilage structure. Many people have some type of joint pain and kombucha can help this. Many people report that it has got rid of joint pain. Now some will say that there are no studies to prove this. Drug companies only do studies on something that they have patented so they can get back the cost of the study and more. But foods cannot be patented so why would anyone want to do a study showing that prunes can help constipation or aloe can help with burns when anyone can sell them?

There has never been a study done that shows that food will help starving people. To do the study right, you would have to give some people food and give some people fake food to compensate for the placebo effect. Also there have been reports of many studies that were reported falsely including some done by researchers at Harvard.
